Dakota Austin Porter, 28, of Eastland, TX passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 4th at the River of Life Church in Eastland; followed by a burial in Simpson Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, June 3rd from 6-8:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Eastland. He is survived by his six-year-old son, Dane Asher Porter; his parents, Melissa & Shane Lavender, Steve Hallmark and Thomas Profazi; his sister, Ciarra Hallmark; grandmother, Linda Porter; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Dakota was born at Eastland Memorial Hospital on August 15, 1993. He attended school through Eastland ISD. He welcomed his son, Dane, into this world on December 18, 2015. Dakota loved his family immensely and had a gift for making people laugh. He will be missed by many. We find peace and comfort in knowing that the best parts of Dakota will live on through his son.
